Set amongst the picturesque Buckinghamshire countryside with stunning views across the Chess Valley, Chenies Manor wedding venue was the perfect choice for their special day.

How did you meet?

Online dating website, chatted online, and then met for a first date.

What’s more important to you both as a couple?

People. Sharing moments together, no matter what the moment is. Just being with each other. The wedding for us is really a chance for everyone to get dressed up and have a good time. There are not enough excuses for big celebrations in life, so you’ve got to take advantage of the ones you have!

What do you love doing?

Anything! Any excuse to be together, whether it’s a walk in a park or a trip to the supermarket. We love settling down on the sofa and watching TV.

Tell us about the proposal?

It was Lucy’s birthday, and Simon had planned a secret trip. Lucy had no idea where we were going but received mysterious clues saying where to go next. We ended up in Bath for her birthday and a couple of days later went to the grounds of a stately home, where Simon proposed.

Why did you choose the venue?

It is close to where Lucy grew up, and just a beautiful small manor house which is perfect for our wedding. Not too formal, but still somewhat traditional, it’s exactly what we wanted.

Why did you choose us to film your wedding?

It was really important for us to have our wedding filmed. Not only are there many international family and friends who can’t come, and would love to see our day in motion, but it’s also important to us. Photos are amazing but only capture so much. We wanted to ensure we would keep the memories fresh forever. We really liked your filming style, not too stiff and formal, but capturing the people and the moments above anything else.
