I’m thinking this concept shoot up to be one of my all-time FAVES. This shoot was a reminder for me that as a creative, it’s SO important to take the time to get out of your comfort zone. Also, try something new and go with your vision!
Mila my 14-year daughter has been rehearsing for her school play as Juliet in Romeo & Juliet and it gave me an idea to get my creative juices going, and I wanted to do an Autumn boho moody portrait barefoot in the forest, we shopped for a dress but couldn’t find anything we liked so I had an idea!
Mila wore my old wedding from 17 years ago and we headed over to our local forest near Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire. I’m SO HAPPY we did because with every shot I took I was hooting and hollering with excitement!
We made a flower crown out of artificial flowers and some glue, and boom we were on! FINE ART PORTRAITS HERE WE COME!
To top it off, the sun SHOWED UP and added the perfect touch. It helped her dress and hair to shine as well as pulled her hair around which together, these two elements helped to bring out the raw emotion of these photos.
I absolutely love falling back in love with photography over and over again!
If you like these pics and would like to recreate something similar give me a bell!
